Juxtafried

Note: This post was written in 2025 and backdated to appear on the day I wrote and published the track.

As with the last couple of years, I came into 2024 with no real ideas, no backlog of things to talk about or things I wanted to try. The only challenge thrown to me by friends was a nebulous “do a dubstep track.” In past years, being completely blank in the first week would have sent me into a panic. At this point, though, it’s kind of normal.

The first three tracks this year ended up being electronic and using XO for drums, so I decided that I wanted to use Superior Drummer 31Easily the best new studio tool I picked up last year. I’m sorry I waited so long to get it. today. I don’t remember the exact order in which I tracked things, but I’m pretty sure the drums were added as soon as I’d found that nasty bass line.

Not a whole lot to say about this one. It’s a solid little beat track and that Desi / Bollywoodish synth gives it a unique personality that I really like. I also have to say that I’m happy with the title. It’s one of my better made-up words.
